How to Choose the Right Wedding Hairstyle: Guide for Bridesmaids

Nearly every girl dreams of the day her prince charming will sweep her off her feet so that together, they can begin a real-life “happily ever after.” Perhaps, you too were that girl, and now the day that you’ve always dreamed of is closer than ever before. You’ve worked hard to reach this point, going through that wedding checklist. Venue, menu, invitations, guest list, and more are ready to go. Fashion, however, might take some extra effort—especially when it comes to choosing the perfect wedding hairstyles for bridesmaids. But fear not: read on to find out all that you need to know about choosing the styles that best suit each bridesmaid—and yourself!

Any Hair Length Looks Lovely

Bridesmaids, of course, are unique and come in many shapes and sizes. They may differ in hair length as well. If you want their styles to match, it’s ideal for them to all have roughly the same hair length. Extensions are always an idea, of course, but that could add to the cost of your professional stylist bill. If the bridesmaids do not showcase the same hairstyles, don’t worry! They will still appear in flawless harmony as they wear your wedding colors. Below is a helpful guide to find the right hairstyle for short, medium, or long hair.

Bridesmaid Hairstyles for Short Hair

Contrary to popular belief, short hair pairs well with several styling options. A short bob with soft curls that curtain the chin makes for a bridesmaid style both classy and cute. This hair length allows for many other cute bridesmaid hairstyles. Bridesmaids with short hair can also wear wavy curls, tight curls (also cute!), or hair down with a side part that spells stunning! Short hairstyles are often simpler than those of medium- or long-length hair, but try adding accessories such as flowered pins. In short, the right style and accessories will help short hair look stellar! (To view more bridesmaid hair ideas for this length, please visit weddingforward.com).

Bridesmaid Hairstyles for Medium Hair

Not too long, not too short—for many ladies, medium-length hair feels just right. It’s long enough to work with many styles without being cumbersome. For an elegant look, try a waterfall braid that flows into a perfect bun just above the shoulders. Half-and-half styles can look magical too, especially with waves or loose curls. Looking for an edgier medium-length look? Consider a messy updo, which features a blend of flowing strands, braids, and loose curls.

Bridesmaid Hairstyles for Long Hair

You already know: long length abounds in style possibilities. With long hair, curls and waves can appear incredibly glamorous—in fact, glam Hollywood waves are a great option at this length. Take long, flowing curls beyond typical by swooping all the hair to one side (especially gorgeous with oval-shaped faces), or adding hair accessories like a boho flower crown. Long hair also looks great in an elegant bun because the buns have enough hair for maximum body and fullness. This style is also quite elegant and easy to manage because it stays in place.

Top Five Factors to Consider

So now that we’ve explored every hair length, let’s talk about some critical factors to consider when choosing bridesmaid hairstyles.

Dress

The most important factor to consider is the dress. Much like the bride and groom, the dress and hairstyle must look good together! They must function well together. Bridesmaid updos work well if the dress has an ornate design along the back. Is the dress flowy and elegant? Loose, flowy waves or curls compliment such dresses perfectly.

Budget

Weddings are expensive—surprise! In addition to all the other expenses (like musicians, cake, and dresses to name a few), professional stylists also cost a pretty penny. If you want your bridesmaids to have matching hairstyles, then proper etiquette is to pay for their hairstyles. This could turn into a huge additional expense, but there is a way to take the same-style route without leaving your wallet starved: choose student stylists or those still training. Excellent students will produce excellent work. Expect to save about 75% in price!

Weather

This factor is especially important for outdoor weddings. On a bright, sunny day with low humidity, curls will dance along to wind’s song. On the other hand, extreme humidity will hastily hurl curls out of hair and paste the hair to sweaty backs. In general, hair-down styles work well if the weather is fair or better; updos work well in precipitation situations. The season is also important to think about. For a winter wedding, hair-down styles will help keep the body warmer. If it’s hot outside, updos could be helpful.

Face Shape

Round, oval, heart, square, or long? Identifying face shape makes choosing a hairstyle much easier. An oval face looks lovely with hair down and a part in the middle. A square face (prominent jaw bones), on the other hand, looks great in a low bun with hair around the face to help soften the chin edges.

Venue

Will the wedding take place outside in a flowery garden or inside a gorgeous cathedral? Consider the formality of the venue. Updos often appear more elegant and work well with churches and cathedrals, for example.

Which style or styles will you choose? The special day awaits, and you have the information you need—so print your guide and prepare to decide!

How to Spend Less on Your Children’s Wardrobe

childrens-wardrobe

It is very easy nowadays to find affordable kids clothing brands. The majority of those are mass-produced and available in online stores, supermarkets, and retail stores. However, as available and affordable as these are, parents sometimes do feel under pressure to make sure their children look fantastic, wearing designer labels. Their kids, generally, don’t care as much about this, but parents do not want to lose face in front of other parents. The sad part about this, however, is that parents simply cannot afford the labels they would like, in the quantity the need. Luckily, there are a couple of ways to make sure your kids look amazing without landing yourself in debt.

  1. Resell Anything You Bought New

Kids grow out of their clothes very quickly. If you ever gave in and bought a true designer label, like Burberry Kids or other such brands, it is likely that by the time your child outgrows them, they will still be in excellent condition. Don’t throw or give them away, but sell them so that you have some money to buy something new.

  1. Shop Secondhand

It stands to reason that, if you will sell your old designer clothes that your child has outgrown, other people will do the same thing. And since you can see that the clothes you want to sell are still in excellent condition, you can safely assume that other people’s clothes are the same. The thing about real designer labels is that they are of excellent quality, and you won’t be able to tell that they have been worn by someone else before you. Naturally, the previous owner will have had to look after things properly, followed the washing instructions, and so on. But you can check this before you buy or, if you buy online, you can return items if they are not in the expected condition.

  1. Swap with Other People

Don’t be embarrassed about asking other people who you know who also have children to swap with you. You could even create a little clothing bank. If you were to invest in really expensive designer labels, you will find that those clothes stand out from the crowd, so you won’t be able to let your child wear them often, or people will start to think they only have one outfit! But if you swap with parents, it could mean that each of you only has to buy a single designer outfit, yet all of your kids can look unique regularly.

  1. Shop for the Right Designer

Does your child really have to wear Yves Saint Laurent, Versace, or Prada? Or will they be perfectly happy, and perhaps even cuter and cooler, in designer brands that focus specifically on children? These clothes tend to be a whole lot more affordable. Plus, they are made with kids in mind, which means materials will be slightly strong at certain pressure points (like the knees!). This is perhaps the best tip of all, as it means shopping affordably, but for high quality.

Is a Breast Augmentation Procedure on Your 2016 Schedule?

Does a Breast Augmentation Procedure make sense for you? ... photo by CC user 27735730@N00 on Flickr

Deciding on whether or not to move forward with breast augmentation can be a tricky decision for millions of women.

On the one hand, countless women see such a procedure as helping them restore some of their outer beauty, along with even improving their self-esteem to a degree. On the other hand, opting for breast augmentation can feel a little overwhelming (even risky to some women), not to mention the financial costs that come with it.

So, where does that leave you if you’ve been contemplating having breast augmentation in the near future or later down the road?

Know the Facts Before Making the Decision

To start with, women across the country should make sure they gather as much information as possible about a Utah breast augmentation or wherever they might reside.

Unlike some other surgeries which are relatively quick and easy, breast augmentation is more involved, though millions of women do it on a regular basis.

Just like you would want all the facts (positives and any potential negative ones) on lap band surgery, knee or hip replacement surgery, even the aforementioned breast surgery, look at the following questions:

  • How do I stand to better myself by having breast augmentation surgery?
  • What are the potential medical risks from such a procedure, both now and down the road?
  • Is this something that I can afford right now (check to make sure your chosen surgeon has no hidden costs) or should I spend the money elsewhere?
  • How much time will I need to recover from the procedure and are there any long-term ill effects?
  • Can I expect to notice a difference in the shape of my breasts soon after the procedure or will this take a number of months?
  • Will this be a one-and-done procedure? Can I expect to go back for more than one breast surgery procedure during the remainder of my life?

Lifestyle Changes

Once you have the surgery, what potential lifestyle changes can you expect?

First, look at the possibility of becoming pregnant down the road after a breast augmentation.

It isn’t uncommon for many women to wonder how their bodies will change with one or more pregnancies in their near or distant future.

If you’ve had breast implants and decide to become pregnant not too far in the future, will the shape of your breasts change due to carrying and delivering a baby?

According to various medical experts, most women can expect their “new” breasts to stay relatively the same shape (they will in most cases though enlarge as normal) during a pregnancy. If a child is in your near future plans, it is typically thought of as best to wait until after childbirth to have a breast augmentation procedure.

Another area where lifestyle changes take effect with breast implants is when it comes to relationships.

It is not unheard of for a boyfriend or husband to pay for breast implants for his significant other, with parents sometimes even doing it for their daughters.

On the first option, the subject of breast augmentation surgery being discussed by couples is certainly not a surprise. While some men may push their wife or girlfriend towards such a procedure, the woman is ultimately the one who must decide if it is best for her physical and emotional well-being.

While having the procedure can certainly change a relationship to a degree, both parties need to be on the same page as to why the surgery is being considered and how it will impact the woman.

When it comes to parents wanting to fund a daughter’s breast implant surgery, a couple of factors come into play. They are:

  • Do it for the right reasons – When a parent or parents opt to buy their daughter breast implants, it must be done for the right reasons. With more female teens getting the procedure these days, keep in mind that young women in that age range have a lot to deal with already (both physically and emotionally). Giving breast implants as a graduation or birthday gift etc. must be in the best interests of young women, not because older adults think their daughter or loved one will look better with them;
  • Explain the procedure – While countless breast implant procedures are done on a daily basis nationwide, it is important that both parents and their daughters understand all surgeries come with some risks. Make sure all risk are clearly explained, along with noting that a young woman’s life will likely change with such surgery on a number of fronts. If there are any hesitations for either parent or teen, take more time to think the procedure through.

Whether an adult woman or a teen looking at breast augmentation, get the facts and find a surgeon who you can feel 100 percent comfortable with before opting for what many women is a life-changing decision.

Easy Style Tips for The Common Man

Style tips for common man

We all wish we could look like James Bond but let’s be honest. Most of us cannot afford to drop a yearly salary on a suit. Do not fear, just because you aren’t David Beckham or 007, doesn’t mean you can’t look good. Here are some easy style tips for the common man on a budget.

Shop Smart
The pitfalls of most common man’s wardrobe isn’t the lack of money or variety, it is the lack of thought. Try and think of the last 4 times you went out. What shirt did you wear? What pants? What shoes? Why did you wear this outfit? If the answer is “it was clean,” “it was the closest,” or “I don’t know;” you are doing it wrong. If you want to look good, you need to put a little effort into it. This goes for dressing and buying. Your wardrobe should consist of clothes you picked for a reason, not t-shirts you’ve collected from various 5ks and pub crawls. So make sure you are making conscience choices when shopping and when dressing.

Buy a Suit
Style tips for common man

Even if you don’t work in an environment that requires a suit, you should have one good suit. There will likely be several occasions each year that you have been “getting by” in jeans and and a wrinkly dress shirt. Instead of doing the bare minimum at the next wedding or funeral, wouldn’t you rather have a sharp suit hanging in your closet and ready to go. If you invest in one good suit you will not regret. Going out to dinner with your girlfriend, impress her and put on your suit, see the look on her face. There are very few situations were you will regret wearing a suit and also don’t forgot it versatility. You can easily wear only the suit jacket or the only the suit pants to class up any ordinary outfit. So make the investment and have a suit tailored to you, as long as you choose a flexible style it will last you for years.

Good Shoes
“The Shoes Make the Man” or so they say. There is definitely truth in this idiom. Any stylish man will have a closet with at least half a dozen pairs of shoes. It is important to know what shoes go when. You shouldn’t be wearing the same pair of shoes to the gym that you do out to dinner. Under no circumstances are you wearing your dancing shoes to work.  Shoes can also make the outfit, if you want to make your suit more casual, rock a pair of classic tennis shoes. If you want to make your jeans classier, put on some leather wingtips.  Remember you can never have too many shoes.

I hope these easy style tips for common man inspired you to go out of you comfort zone and make some simple choices to up your style game. This small suggestions can pay off in a major way.
